Privacy and retention

Last updated: 20 June 2026.

The viewer processes your Steam account identifier and profile name, uploaded or imported CS2 demos, match metadata, player identifiers, gameplay events, and usage counters to provide private demo playback and review.

Storage and access

Private demos and parsed artifacts are available only to their owning account. Explicit showcase samples are public. Match-history authentication codes are encrypted at rest and are never included in account exports or logs.

Retention

Private demos and derived caches are retained for 30 days by default; a deployment may publish a different configured period. Incomplete uploads expire after 24 hours. Deleting a demo or account removes its database access, raw upload, parsed cache, pending work, and stored match-history credential, except content-addressed bytes still required by another owner who uploaded identical content.

Your controls

Signed-in users can export their account and gameplay metadata, disconnect match-history import, delete individual demos, or permanently delete their account from the viewer account panel.
